For those of you who do not know who we are...which is likely most of the people applying to this guild, we are <Doom Kittens>.
Long ago, before the Outlands and BC were even a glimmer of hope on the horizon, on a server far far away, this guild was created by a group of close friends, who simply wanted to mess around together. Over time, we recruited, made a lot of new friends, and all of us had high hopes to begin raiding.
Unfortunately, recruiting was more difficult than it seemed, and our guild never set foot inside ZG or AQ20, let alone MC and BWL. However, that didn't stop our members at all...oh no, they left the guild for guilds who were actually raiding...but at heart we were all still Doom Kittens.
Over a year and a half later and still our guild ties hold strong. Our members have set foot inside Kara, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, and now the home of the forest trolls, Zul'Aman.
We have recently been searching for some way around the stagnant raiding situation that plagues Shu'halo; a solution that did not require $25. In an attempt at enjoying ourselves, gearing up alts, meeting new friends, and possibly even progressing through the 25 man content it has been decided that <Doom Kittens> will once again rise up and become a guild which will rival all others.
UPDATE: 5 months later...
DK has quickly shot up through the ranks to become one of the fastest progressing raiding guilds of Shu'Halo. After stumbling around in 10 man content for nearly 3 months, DK caught it's break in the form of a large influx of players (this story is actually very amusing. Ask an officer to tell it.) Breaking out of KZ and ZA, within a month DK had blown through Gruul's, Mag, and into SSC & TK. After another month we are within reach of full clears on both these instances, and have also taken our first steps into MH.
Update #2: Some...more time...later
DK's raiding died with Shu'Halo...a long...painfully retarded death. As Wrath of the Lich King neared, we felt it was time to pull an Old Yeller on Shu'Halo. A few weeks before launch we determined that Blackrock would be our guilds new home, and just a couple of days before launch, we transferred. After leveling on Blackrock, and realizing that one of our most important members was locked out of the server, we decided that "Blackrock [was] full, [lets] GTFO".
So once again, we made the exodus from server to server, this time for free. We had hoped that the smaller server size of Drak'Tharon would allow us to get to know the players there a bit better, and also to have a better chance at making a name for ourselves.
Now...I end my awkward and brief retelling of our history, and eagerly await all of the responses containing the words "fag" "gay" "retarded" and "the".
